James Montgomery, of Daytona Beach Florida, passed away peacefully at Florida Hospital Hospice Care Center on the 17th of February, 2017. Services will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 22nd, 2017 at 3 p.m., at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond, 733 West Granada Boulelvard, Ormond Beach, Florida.

Jim, as he like to be called, was born December 5th, 1938 in Hammond, Indiana to James and Agnes Montgomery. He was a City Controller for the city of East Chicago prior to him opening his own real estate company in the early 1970s. He then moved to Daytona Beach in 1982 to shake up the timeshare business. He and his wife, Wanda, were instrumental in the start-up of the timeshare resale business. He was able to retire in 2008. On any given day you could find Jim golfing and spending as much time as he could with his family.He enjoyed traveling and watching any of the Chicago teams, especially his World Series
Champion Cubs.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Wanda. In his final years, Jim was able to spend several years with another love, Linda Paul. She was there to provide love, friendship, care and comfort .He is survived by his children Diana (Chuck) Johnson, Cindi Kroslack, Richard (Carolina) Montgomery, Coleen (Rich) Benson, Lisa (Britt) Hall. He also had numerous grandchildren, Jason Kroslack, Amanda (Andrew) Colton, Brittany (Kyle) Hopkins, Nicholas Johnson, Cheyenne Cooper, Carl Cooper, Kelly Hall and Allison Hall. He also had one great-grandchild, Gabriella House. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Florida Hospital Hospice Care Center Ormond Beach Florida or to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Volusia/Flagler County.
