Paul W. Bower, 77, of Daytona Beach, FL passed away on Sunday December 20, 2009. Paul was born on November 30, 1932 to Howard and Marion Bower in Williamsport, PA. Paul attended Loch Haven University to achieving a teaching degree, and obtained his Masters degree at Bucknell University. He worked for several years for the Williamsport, PA school district as a special needs teacher. Paul later moved to Mifflinburg and became a principal, and then later to Matamoras, PA retiring in 1984.Mr. Bower also served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Bower was also a very active member of the Elks and Moose Lodges. A visitation will he held on Tuesday December 29, 2009 at Lohman Funeral Home in Ormond Beach 733 W. Granada Blvd. The family will receive guest from 4pm until 6pm with a service to follow at 6pm. Paul is preceded in death by his Father Howard Bower and Mother Marion Bower, Son Paul W. Bower Jr., and Brother Kenneth Bower. Survivors include daughters Susan K. Montgomery, of Rising Sun, MD, Renee J. Esposito, of Toms River, NJ, and Paula L. Bower, of Port Orange, FL, Brother Stanley Bower, of Williamsport, PA, and grandchildren Vanessa Baffone, Amanda Montgomery, Amy Esposito, Edward Esposito Jr., caregiver and friend Arthur Phelps, several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Paul’s honor to the American Caner Society at www.cancer.org . Friends may send condolences to www.LohmanFuneralHomes.com.
