Theresa G. Racine, 81, of Daytona Beach, FL, died Christmas morning 2009 at home surrounded by her family. She was born June 10, 1928, in Plainfield, CT, to Thomas and Marie Louise (Farland) Plourde. On February 7, 1948, she married Gerard A. Racine at St. Francis Xavier Church in Nashua, NH. Theresa moved to Nashua as a child and lived there until 1989 when she and Gerry moved to Daytona Beach. The couple raised six wonderful children. They are Patricia A. Darrah and her husband, Michael, of Nashua; Danielle M. Willey and her husband, Robert, of Hudson, NH; Celeste R. Kuhar and her husband, Kenneth, of Ormond-by-the-Sea, FL; Joseph T. Racine of Edgewater, FL; Ann Marie R. Sharrits and her husband, Duncan, of Hendersonville, NC; Michael R. Racine and his wife, Tami Wiggins, of Belen, NM. Theresa dearly loved her six grandchildren: Robert Willey III; Heather Darrah; Blake, Spencer, and Jenna Sharrits; Lucia Racine; and one great-grandchild, Connor Willey. She is survived by a brother, Lucien Plourde and his wife, Doris, and a sister, Blanche Belanger and her husband, Robert, all of Daytona Beach. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Father Philip Egitto at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at the corner of Univeristy Blvd. and Halifax in Daytona Beach on Thursday, December 31, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mrs. Racine to Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund, 533 North Nova Rd., Suite 206, Daytona Beach, FL, 32174, or Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 201 University Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL, 32118.
