Obituary:
Edith Schinz Fulghum, 79, passed away December 27, 2009. She was born on September 28, 1930 in Germany where she survived the war after being separated from her parents. During the 1950’s, she left Germany and moved to New York where she was a Nanny for many years, as well as a member of the German choir. She later spent her summers in New York and her winters in Florida. In 1969, she met her late husband Roland while working as a hostess in Lakeland. She then relocated to St. Louis where she lived until her husband retired and in 2001, she moved to Ormond Beach which was her final residence. Edith touched many lives in many different ways and could often be found volunteering at a hospital or at the Rockefeller House in Ormond Beach. She had a kind heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She will be dearly missed by all who had the opportunity to know her. She is survived by her dear friends Ann England, Marian Pratt, Hilde Desnoo, Else Wagner and Kay Smith. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Halifax Humane Society, 2364 LPGA Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL 32124.
