William K. “Kris” Bernhard, 30, of Daytona Beach passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2009. A celebration of life will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 724 Big Tree Rd. South Daytona on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 6 pm. Kris was born on July 4, 1979 in Cleveland, Ohio. He loved NHL Hockey and was a huge fan of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Kris had a special bond with his nephew Cameron, as a babysitter, friend, teacher and more often than not a playmate. Survivors include his parents Sharon and William Bernhard; his sister Elyse and his special nephew Cameron Bernhard. Also his grandparents Arlene and William H. Bernhard; aunts Bonnie Sund and Becky Zerby; cousins Jennifer and Dakota Sund and Ken and Mark Zerby.
