Funeral Services for Mary Ann D. Costa, age 80 of Ormond Beach, FL who passed away on January 28, 2010 will be Tuesday, Feb. 2nd at 10am at St. Brendan Roman Catholic Church (1000 Ocean Shore Boulevard, Ormond Beach) with Fr. Queen officiating. Her family will receive friends on Monday, Feb. 1st from 5-8pm with a prayer service at 7pm at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond (733 W. Granada Blvd, Ormond). Mary Ann was born April 23, 1929 to William and Alice Gravel in Detroit, Michigan. Mary Ann met and married Tony and relocated 43 years ago to Florida where they raised their two daughters. She was a long time member of St Brendan Catholic Church and was known for her love of traveling as well as her love of animals. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend and will be greatly missed and always remembered in the hearts of those she touched. Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 51 years, Tony Costa, of Ormond Beach, FL; her daughters, Pat (Steve) Toncheff of Ormond Beach, FL and Kathy (Rob) Pownall Jr., of Debary, FL; her brother, Dick (Joan) Gravel of Boaz, AL and her three beloved grandchildren, Kyle, Corey and Matthew Pownall. The family suggests that memorial donations may be made in Mary Ann’s memory to an animal charity of your choice in appreciation of Mary Ann’s love of animals and generosity to various animal charities.
