Obituary:
Henry J. Fleury, 85, of South Daytona, passed away quietly in his sleep on January 31, 2010. He was born in Lowell, MA, on April 25, 1924. After graduating high school, he married his childhood sweetheart, Rita, to whom he was married 65 years. While living in Massachusetts, he and his wife owned several business’s throughout the years: The Paradise Inn Nightclub, Tewksbury Aluminum & Hardware, and Stardust Music Center to name a few. Henry was a passionate and accomplished musician and craftsman; he and his wife were well known musical entertainers. At the young age of 49, he suffered a brain aneurism that brought him into early retirement. He and his wife relocated to Florida where they began a new chapter in their lives together. He loved driving along the beach, singing, playing bingo, watching wrestling and working on crafts. He attended Daytona City Church and the Basilica of St. Paul in Daytona. Henry had a wonderful sense of humor, however, he will be remembered most for the unconditional, unfailing love and affection he had for his family. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Rita; sons Henry P. Fleury of Haverhill, MA, Andrew J. Fleury and his wife Mary of Tewksbury, MA, Dennis C. Fleury and his wife Sharon of Greenville, NH, Donald R. Fleury and his wife Linda of Edgewater, FL, 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers Charles and Edward and sister Helen.
