William Blelock

Mr. Blelock died on January 3 2006 at the age of 85. He grew up in St. Louis MO and Litchfield CT. After four years in the Marine Corps during the Second World War he returned to Wesleyan University graduating in 1948.

After college Mr. Blelock worked for the Torrington Company in Chicago and Bedford Quebec Canada for seven years.

The move to Woodstock came in 1956 to join a young Rotron Inc. later acquired by EG&G and Ametek. Eighteen years were spent at Rotron in various sales management assignments. During the early years in Woodstock Mr. Blelock was active in the Woodstock Association a conservation group and the Woodstock Library.

In 1974 Mr. Blelock left Rotron to join Sylvester Associates manufacturers? representatives in the New York area while still maintaining the Woodstock house at 10 Meads Mountain Road. Retirement was taken in 1993. For close to ten years after retirement Mr. Blelock leased a condominium on the beach at Daytona Beach Shores FL.

Mr. Blelock was born in St. Louis MO on November 7 1920; he was the son of William Weston Blelock and Mary Frances Price.

Mr. Blelock was predeceased by his wife Nelle in 1999. Survivors include a son Weston and a daughter Julia both of whom reside in Woodstock.
