Mr. Garrison was born August 27 1952 in Crossnore NC to Charles W. and Leota Burleson Garrison. He attended Appalachian State University Boone NC. He worked at Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area South East Region Preservation Crew Fort Frederica National Monument and currently at Castillo de San Marcos National Monument/Ft. Matanzas National Monument as a Facility Manager.

He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church Morganton NC.

He was an Eagle Scout.

He is survived by his Parents Charles W. and Leota Burleson Garrison of Morganton NC Brother: Charles and his wife Cheryl Garrison Jr. of Morganton NC. Sister: Marcia and her husband Jerry McCall of Morganton NC. Maternal Grandmother: Grace Watson Burleson of Morganton NC. 2 Nephews: Dustin Carswell of Morganton NC. And Obie Carswell of Morganton NC. and his Companion Richard Whitney.
